From its origins, it’s been thought as the budget-friendly alternative to Rolex, even though it was producing similar yet so different watches. Have you understood who we’re talking about? It’s Tudor, of course!
Who will be this Basel’s winner, in terms of exclusivity and innovation? Will Tudor live up to its more famous opponent? Let’s find it out together!
Tudor Blackbay bronze, alternative to the Submariner… or not?
In this BaselWorld’s edition too, Tudor is presenting a reinterpretation of one of thier most famous model, the Black Bay Bronze! As we can easily understand by its name, the 43mm case is entirelly made out of bronze and it’s moved by the new in-house caliber MT5601 COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse desChronomètres). This new model is available with both a leather and a fabric strap, and it’s priced at 3.860€.
Tudor Black Bay Chrono S&G, do you spot a similarity?
Here you have the “Tudor Black Bay Chrono S&G”, introduced in a two-tone steel/gold configuration. Cased in a 41mm steel housing, screw-down pushers and moved by the in-house automatic caliber MT5813 with column wheel and vertical friction.
Available with two-tone steel/gold bracelet, brown leather strap (it’s possible to add a “bundle strap” configuration) or a black fabric strap. The price is 6.500€ for the two-tone version and 5.350€ for the leather or fabric straps.
A totally unexpected model: the Black Bay P01

Many are joking and comparing it to a famous Seiko but, without a doubt, this is the most curious edition presented by Tudor in the last few years.
The Black Bay P01 is a model that is inspired by a prototype developed by Tudor in the late 60s and proposed to the US Navy.
The case is 42 mm with the crown at 4 o’clock and a curious bezel-locking mechanism, that interacts with the serrated bezel. This new model is powered by the in-house movement MT5612 COSC certified and provided with an “hybrid” strap, made of rubber and leather. Priced at 3.760€.
Black Bay 32/36/41 S&G
With these three variants, Tudor is expanding the Black Bay collection with one of their most classical line.
The cases are available in 32mm, 36mm and 41mm in stainless steel. The dial options are actually two: matte black or satin champagne. Every model is provided with the new five links bracelet with gold center links.
The 41mm version has a price tag of 3.950€, the 36mm comes at 3.850€ and the 31mm follows at 3.750€.
