After the Geneva auction weekend, which we talked about in this article, it’s time to see the results and the most expensive wrist watch ever sold!
Christies OnlyWatch
With CHF 38 Million in total, it’s the first auction as a sales volume held this weekend.
You probably already seen some results on our page but we also report them here…
Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime 6300A-010
Lot 28 is definitely the one that made the most talks: 28.463.000 € (31 million CHF)… The most expensive wristwatch ever sold in history!
You saw it live on our page and, yes, we were in the room living this great emotion!
We were surprised only by the 31 million Francs, but not who reached them.
As mentioned in this article, if we take Patek Philippe’s most expensive model, the two most appreciated dials in history and the rarest material by the Stern family, it is not surprising to break some primates…
Other lots
Five other lots stood out for the reached price. We talk about prices because quality, genius and exclusivity are not even to be questioned.
For those who have not read the article, in fact, OnlyWatch offers only unique pieces, several of which are really innovative and not just particular versions of existing models

Phillips Geneva Auction X
After talking about it previously, here are the results of our favorites from Phillips’ tenth auction.
A little uneventful room, prices perhaps lower than expected, but still amazing pieces. Undoubtedly Phillips confirms itself as the most “forward” auction house if we talk not only about quality, but above all about marketing and strategy.
Below are the selling prices of the basic pieces, honestly… a little subdued. (Prices including 25% fees)
Rolex ref. 8171 “Padellone“ – Lot 175
Estimate: CHF500.000 – 1.000.000 (€457.000-915.000) sold for 943.000€ circa (1.028.000 CHF)
Zenith El Primero “The One-Off” – Lot 136
Discussed here, it scored about 230,000 euros (250,000 CHF)!
Rolex Chronograph ref. 4113 Split Seconds – Lot 139
Estimate: over 1.5M CHF (1.36M€) sold for 1.780.000 € (1.940.000 CHF)
In questo scenario, saltano invece all’occhio altri lotti contesi in sala:
In this scenario, other battled lots stand out:
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “Oman”, Lotto 107

Patek Philippe 5971P, Lotto 203
Explained in our IGTV, sold for about 195,000€ (212,500 CHF)
Phillips Double Signed
A quest’asta appartengono molti dei nostri lotti preferiti, ed un nostro articolo, in cui trovate la vera storia delle maison che firmarono i quadranti.
Di seguito qualche highlight dall’ultimo articolo e non solo!
Many of our favorite lots belong to this auction. In our article, you can find the true story of the maisons that signed the dials.
Below are some highlights from the last article and more!
Rolex GMT Master ref. 6542 Lot 14
Estimate: CHF 150.000 – 300.000 (137.000-257.000€) – unsold
Very strange, given the historical importance of this model….
Patek Philippe 565, Lot 34
You find it here, sold for almost double the estimate: 275,000€ (300,000 CHF).
For those who don’t understand this quote, it’s better to read the article on the 565 and the one on about our favorite lots, where we explain everything!
More than noteworthy, then, is the Lot 30.
Not everyone was in the room, so not everyone remembers it. it’s a Patek Philippe ref. 2525/1, with a sufficiently low estimate (23/46,000€), sold for about 100,000€. The story of this watch, however, is linked to the auction: more than 20 minutes to win it, in a war to death between Parma and New York, which animated the hall and entertained all of us. Soon the video…
Christies Rare Watches
As usual we report some results, while others you can find in the other article! Even for Christies, however, few differences with Phillips: no records, no price explosion… everything normal.
Vacheron Constantin ref. 15542/973G-7, Lot 145
Estimate: CHF 170.000 – CHF 270.000 (€ 152.147 – € 241.645) sold for 195.000€ (212.500 CHF)
Patek Philippe Minute repeater belonged by Henry Graves Jr., Lot 154
Estimate: CHF 3.000.000 – CHF 5.000.000 (EUR 2.703.963 – EUR 4.506.604) sold for 4.200.000€ (4.575.000 CHF)
Rolex Daytona ref. 6262, Lot 215
Estimate: CHF 340.000 – CHF 540.000 (€ 304.293 – € 483.290) sold for 399.000€ circa (435.000 CHF)
As for the other auction houses and other lots we will be short…
We’ve updated results about lots we chose in the previous article. Sotheby’s and Antiquorum, on the other hand, are also average.
By this we don’t mean that the usual incredible pieces have been missing or that there is no more market, but only that, for this time, it seemed to be all stable and much quieter than usual.
Stay tuned for the latest news, videos and shots of the pieces you see and those that will go to auction in NY and HK very soon!
