What watches are VIPs wearing at the 2019 Venice Film Festival?
We are at the 76th Venice International Film Festival, where hundreds of watches are going unnoticed on the red carpet, but not for the ItalianWatchSpotter team.
Some Rolexes, some Cartier… The undisputed star, however, is Jaeger-LeCoultre, partner of the Festival.
Chiara Ferragni
Chiara Ferragni, the world’s best-known Italian digital entrepreneur, makes her debut with the documentary about her life, “Chiara Ferragni Unposted“, where she recounts her rise in the world of social and fashion, as well as her life.
We want to give her a big good luck for the success of the film, on which we have no doubt.
Getting off the boat at Excelsior with her husband Fedez, we can see on her wrist a yellow gold Rolex Daytona with black dial ref. 116508. For this model we’re facing a list price of 32.300€.
Fedez
Federico Lucia, a.k.a. Fedez, accompanies his wife wearing a Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1R in rose gold with a custom diamonds set. An often-seen watch, even a few days ago, on his social channels, seems to be the singer’s favorite. Fedez is also the only one in his music genre to feature Patek Philippe among the brands in his collection.
For the 5711/1R without diamonds, the list price is 49.160€, while we are over 90.000€ for the resell. For a diamond set version like this one, it’s easy to think of something between these two prices.
Maria Vittoria Paolillo
The designer was seen arriving at the festival with a Rolex Daytona ref.116506 in yellow gold with white dial.
The watch is perfect to match the summer outfit, with a list price of 32.300€.
Julie Andrews
Award-winning British actress, writer and singer Julie Andrews was seen at the Golden Lion consignment ceremony, wearing a Harry Winston Ocean Automatic.

Tis is made possible by the opening at three o’clock, which show, in addiction to the current date, the day before and the day after, so that ones can always know the right date.
During the evening, in addition to the watch, the actress also proudly shown the won award: a Golden Lion for the Career she’s been awarded this year after a history of great successes that lasted from the 1960s.

The showgirl and former model chose for the Festival’s red carpet a Cartier Tank Americaine in white gold, with the front of the case diamond-set.

Joel Edgerton
Australian actor Joel Edgerton makes his debut on a Netflix-produced movie: “The King“.
During the classic photocall in front of the blue screen we saw him with an IWC Portofino Chronograph with steel “mesh” bracelet.

Meryl Streep
Hollywood star Meryl Streep didn’t go unnoticed on the red carpet.
Although the wrist was covered by a long eccentric dress, we at ItalianWatchSpotter managed to discover the watch she wore.
Usually, “The Devil Wears Prada,” but this time she wore a Panthère De Cartier Ref. WGPN0008 in yellow gold, small size, with a price list of 20.300€.

The two influencer sisters, Julia and Sylvia Haghjoo, both wear Jaeger-LeCoultre, the most present brand at the Venice Film Festival.

The famous American actor lands in Venice for Tarantino’s new film, “Once upon a time in Hollywood”.
As we watch him getting off the boat, it seems impossible not to notice his Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Norton ref. AB0118A21B1A1, with the typical steel bracelet.
Classic and modern watch, it perfectly matches the actor’s outfit and personality. The list price here is 8.090€.

It’s a steel watch with soleil silver dial, roman numerals, steel case and quartz movement with 6 years of autonomy. In this photo we can see the actor with the full-size version on his wrist, with a list price of 3.800€.

Celine Aagaard
Norwegian journalist, writer and designer Celine Aagaard, founder of Envelope, wore a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso ref. 2602540, on “The Laundromat” red carpet last September 1st.
It’s a watch with an evergreen style, which maintains the traditional shapes and canons of the Reverso, with a list price of 12.500€.
Alessandro Gassmann
Italian director and actor, son of the legendary Vittorio Gassmann, Alessandro Gassmann wore a Rolex Submariner ref. 16610 at the screening of “Mio fratello rincorre i dinosauri“.
